A trip full of emotion and adventure across bucolic landscapes enjoying the extraordinary views of the Vicabamba Cordillera. We will descend down to the depths of the Apurímac Canyon to then ascend up to 3110 metres above sea level, and finally arrive at the last refuge of the Incas, the Archaeological Compound of Choquequirao.

We set off from Cusco bound for Cachora, passing by the localities of Izcuchaca until reaching the Archaeological Compound of Tarawasi and the Pass of Saywite, to then enter Cachora for breakfast. After breakfast we start to ascend towards a vantage point in Wayna Qalli Grande, from where we will be able to appreciate a large chunk of the Archaeological Compound of Choquequirao, besides a beautiful view of the snow-capped mountains of Vilcabamba; then we will descend towards Capuliyuc, Cuca Masana, where the flora and fauna begin to change, until we reach Rosalina Beach where we will set camp.
After breakfast we set out towards the local liquor distillery of cane called Santa Rosa. This second day is considered to be the toughest, due to the ascension since early in the morning of the mountains on the side of Cusco bound for Marampata; on the way we will watch orchids and violets, and if luck is on our side, we will be able to watch fauna species such as deer, anteaters and diverse birds and insects. After a repairing lunch and rest in Marampata we continue towards Ragaypata, where we can appreciate orchids, mainly at the banks of the Chunchullmayo River. After a one-hour walk approximately, we will reach Choquequirao and visit the eight sectors of this compound, amongst granaries, precincts, altars and terraces; camping.

After breakfast we will enjoy a time to pay a last visit to Choquequirao, and later we will descend along the same route up to Santa Rosa, where we will have lunch and continue towards Chiquisca; camping.

After breakfast in Chiquisca we start to ascend towards the vantage point of Wayna Qalli, where we will have lunch; from the vantage point we can appreciate the canyon formed by the Apurímac River, regarded as the most spectacular in South America. We will then arrive in Cachora, where they will be waiting for us to take us back to Cusco.
